On every block of Getsemani,the old sector of Cartagena, street vendors entice us to buy small boxes of cigarettes. With all these cigarettes for sale, where are the smokers? Not in the cafes, restaurants, or shops we have visited. We see a few on the sidewalks and on park benches, but the number of smokers is much lower than we see in the San Francisco area.

Yesterday evening, we passed up an oportunity to buy allegedly Cuban cigars from another street vendor. One more item we have not seen anyone smoking.

So…where have all the smokers gone? Not that we are missing them….
